This is a one hour online virtual meeting of vCISOs to explore and discuss all things related to our practice.
Note: This is not specifically a TeamCISO event. We *hope* other vCISOs will step up and help organize/maintain this with us.
When: Every Other Wednesday at 12pm EST(EDT)
Purpose:
There are multiple purposes for this weekly event. First, is to bring together the thought leaders and subject matter experts that represent the realm of the Virtual CISO. Second is to share learnings in our practice. Both from a business perspective as well as from a Cyber Security skills and implementation perspective.
Taking advantage of the current "Work From Home" mandates, we are looking to expand this meeting to any vCISO, Virtual CISO, Fractional CISO, CISO as a Service around the globe.
Once upon a time, the role of CISO itself was not well understood, represented, or valued. Today, we are frequently seeing the CISO role sitting at the same table as the other C-Suite Executives.
The Cyber Security Threats and Risks are no different for Small to Medium Enterprise, and they are plugged in to the supply chain of every large business out there. However, small businesses have neither the financial nor the resource budgets to facilitate the security controls and processes of their larger counterparts.
To this end, we, the vCISOs have taken up the challenge of supporting these enterprises and providing a level of Cyber Security commensurate with their risk.
Greater than 70% of all business is in the SMB space.
They just don't know yet that we exist to help them.
We invite you, fellow Virtual CISOs to join us in these discussions. Help us form a "Community Best Practice" for providing vCISO services. Leverage each other where possible to etend out capablilities, and share resources.
Agenda: (You are not expected to attend every week. Agendas will be published here a few weeks in advance)
Each week will start with a 20 minute open discussion/roundtable, then one or two vCISOs will be granted 20 minutes each to present a topic of their chosing.
We hope to keep this "somewhat informal" as much as possible, in an open sharing fashion. There is much we can learn from one another, and the opportunity is vast.
That said, we are looking for volunteers to present over the next few weeks while we sort out the larger agenda plan.
If you are interested in participating in these roundtables, and meeting your fellow vCISOs online, please forward an email to info@teamciso.com, and we'll add you to the weekly invite.
Looking forward to serving you.
